PurpleLab — Privacy Policy Last updated: May 26, 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Purpleseed LLC (“PurpleSeed,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with the PurpleLab platform and related services, including our automated workspaces (“Pods”), our customer communication tooling, and our website at https://purpleseedlab.com (collectively, the “Services”).

PurpleSeed provides process-automation and customer-communication services to small and medium-sized businesses (“Client Businesses”). In doing so, we act in two distinct roles, and your rights depend on which applies:

  • As a data controller — for information about our website visitors, account holders, and the staff of Client Businesses who use our Services directly.
  • As a data processor (service provider) — for the personal data contained in the end-customer conversations and records that a Client Business directs us to process on its behalf. In that role, the Client Business is the controller, and we process such data only under their instructions and our agreement with them.

By using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide to us. Name, email address, phone number, business name, billing details, and any information you submit when you contact us, create an account, or engage our Services.

Information we process on behalf of Client Businesses. When a Client Business connects a messaging channel (such as WhatsApp) or other data source to the Services, we receive and process the contents of customer conversations, contact details, and related records as needed to provide the Services. This data belongs to the Client Business; we process it on their instructions.

Messaging platform data. Where you or a Client Business connect a third-party messaging platform (including the WhatsApp Business Platform provided by Meta), we receive message content, sender and recipient identifiers, timestamps, delivery statuses, and related metadata necessary to send, receive, route, and assist with those messages. Our use of information obtained through Meta platforms complies with applicable Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies.

Usage and technical data. IP address, browser type and version, device identifiers, pages visited, access times, and diagnostic data, collected automatically when you use the website or Services.

Cookies and similar technologies. See our Cookie Policy at https://purpleseedlab.com/cookie-policy/.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to: provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services; route, send, receive, and generate assisted or automated responses to messages; authenticate users and secure the Services; communicate with you about your account, security, and service updates; process payments; comply with legal obligations; and detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or technical issues.

Personal data we process on behalf of a Client Business is used solely to provide the Services to that Client Business and according to their instructions — not for our own independent purposes, and not to build or train general-purpose models outside the scope of providing the Service.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal data. We share information only as follows:

  • With service providers / sub-processors who help us operate the Services (for example, hosting, infrastructure, and the messaging platforms through which conversations flow), under contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
  • With messaging and platform providers (such as Meta) as necessary to deliver messages and operate connected channels.
  • With Client Businesses — where you are an end customer interacting with a Client Business through our Services, your conversation data is shared with and controlled by that Client Business.
  • For legal reasons — to comply with law, enforce our agreements, or protect the rights, safety, and property of PurpleSeed, our users, or the public.
  • In a business transfer — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Data we process on behalf of a Client Business is retained according to our agreement with that Client Business and is deleted or returned on termination or upon their valid instruction, subject to legal retention requirements.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights for data we control, contact us at team@purpleseedlab.com. Where we process data on behalf of a Client Business, please direct your request to that business; we will assist them in responding.

7. Data Security

We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including access controls and encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. International Transfers

We are based in the United States, and information may be processed in the United States or other countries with different data-protection laws than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.
